2021 Iowa State Pedal Pull Information

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the Marshalltown Noon Optimist Club, who have hosted the Iowa State Pedal Pull Championship for the past 20 year, was not able to host this years pull. This years pull will be held in Burt, Iowa. Please see additional information below.

 

The 31st annual Iowa State Pedal Tractor Pull will be held on September 11, 2021, at the Burt Activity Complex 406 Bush St, Burt IA. 

        We are indoors so the pull will go rain or shine.

        Registration for ages 4 through 6,  8:30 a.m. to 9:55 a.m., and the pull starts at 10:00 a.m.

        Registration for ages 7 through 9, 10:30 a.m. to 11:55 a.m., and the pull starts at 12 noon

        Registration for ages 10 through 13, 12:30 p.m. to 1:25 p.m., and the pull starts at 1:30 p.m.

Due to Covid-19 canceling the 2020 Iowa State Pedal Pull Championship and National Pedal Pull, 13 year old pullers will  be allowed to pull at this years State and National Pedal Pull. Pullers may not turn 14 before the National Pedal Pull on September 25th to be eligible.

 

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR COMPLETED CERTIFICATE ALONG WITH PROOF OF AGE   (BIRTH CERTIFICATE, BAPTISM CERTIFICATE OR SCHOOL RECORDS)

We will be using 3 sets of equipment at the State Pull.  We will alternate back and forth between 3 age groups  in order to move things along quickly. 

Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each boys and girls class. Each participant will receive a ribbon. The top 3 boys and girls in each age group will advance to the National Pedal Pull.

 

REMEMBER—YOU COMPETE IN THE AGE GROUP THAT YOU ARE IN THE DAY OF THE PULL, EVEN IF YOU QUALIFIED AT A YOUNGER AGE

Admission to the event is $5.00 for persons 13 and older and $3.00 for ages 5 to 12  (excluding contestants) and free under age 5.  A concession stand will be available with drinks and snacks throughout the day.
